Idaho Mountain Home Siding
Siding, exterior trim, staining, weatherproofing: my first big break as an independent contractor was at this beautiful mountain property overlooking Lake Coeur D’Alene. The homeowner had a flexible time frame which allowed me the room to trim and side this entire house and barn by myself. Though I started before Halloween and finished after New Years, I enjoyed the process and the unique challenges such as working at great height. Every fall I know I’ll look back on this time with fondness.

How it started.

Installing weather barrier.

Everything I could reach with a ladder.

Backside view.

Running layout lines for siding nails.

Stay on your toes.

Began window trim.

Close up view.

First section of siding on the barn.

Got some scaffolding.

Corner trims, door trims, and shakes on the dormers.

Every nook and cranny with detail.

Fully trimmed and sided.

Backside.

Last but not least, the cupola.

I love working outside.
